The first gathering. Two talks on programming as a continuing series of abstractions of language by Ian Glover, and a presentation by Stewart Bird on his artistic practice. Followed by a spirited debate over drinks.
SPEAKER BIOS
IAN GLOVER is a designer, developer and co-director of the contemporary art gallery Blade Study in New York. He also runs Remote Viewing Platform, a nomadic project exploring radio based artworks, with Stewart Bird and Carmelo Pampillonio.
STEWART BIRD lives and works in New York, NY. He received an MFA from Pratt Institute in 2020 and a BA in Emergent Digital Practices from the University of Denver in 2013. Recent exhibitions include Shown work at Plaxall Gallery, 11Newel Gallery, Yve YANG Gallery, Parent Company Gallery, RAINRAIN, and Intima in New York NY, Talion Gallery in Tokyo JP and online exhibitions for SCREEN_ and Theaphora Editions.
